Living matter changes. Skin and body care products formulated with natural ingredients that derive from living matter such as plants, seeds, nuts and flowers require some intervention to keep the product stabilized and free from bacteria. This typically involves the introduction of non natural materials. The choice of stabilizers and fixatives and the length of time that is needed to preserve the products, I.e, shelf life, will determine which preservatives are used and in what percentages.

All retail products, no matter what claims are made regarding their naturalness or purity, require preservatives, stabilizers and fixatives to sustain the required shelf life of 3 years.

The Integrity Yoga Body Care line is faced with the same issue. However, we are not delivering our products via retail, so we can make some different choices that offer you new options when deciding what quality of products you put onto your body.

Natural Preservatives: Vitamin E, rosemary extract and grapeseed extract are natural ingredients that act as excellent preservatives. We have included these in our formulations to stabilize and preserve the material.

Germall Plus: After extensive research, we have chosen to use Germall Plus as an antibacterial agent. This product is designed to keep complex natural formulations bacteria free and is used in extremely low percentages. See www.ispcorp.com for the product profile of Germall Plus.

Using Integrity Body Care: All our products are made fresh every month. You can safely use any product for 8 months to 1 year. On occasion, the essential oils may separate and appear to change color. We suggest you mix the creams well and use common sense as to when a product is longer appropriate.
